NEC Option C being used for main contractor, sub-contractor engaged by Contractor on NEC Option B
Two parts to my question, please:
1. If I agree to prolongation as part of a CE, then the prolongation includes people costs. Is the Contractor correct to then ok to add people again as those involved in preparing the quote? i.e. there is some duplication/overlap...?
2. In another CE, the Contractor has claimed for the costs of 3 shifts while the sub-contractor was 'stood'. The thing is, the first of these shifts the sub-contractor was stood, the main contractor carried out a drugs screening test on all operatives resulting in essentially a lost shift. Is the Contractor allowed to claim all 8 hours of the shift on behalf of his sub-contractor?
